Finished with multiple coats of hand-rubbed shellac, it is extremely durable and resistant to stains and watermarks. When designing a piece of furniture to last a lifetime, the aging of wood and finishes must be taken into account.  As shellac is naturally UV resistant and does not chip or yellow over time, this table will age beautifully.
