This handmade, solid oak Propagation Station was designed for the rooting of plant clippings in soil or water. (It also makes a beautiful and unique flower vase!) As any plant person knows, the majority of common houseplants can be easily propagated in water.
Looking for a shelf for your propagation station? Our Maple Hanging Shelves are the perfect match!
Simply take a clipping from the plant that contains a node (the points on a stem where the buds, leaves, and branching twigs originate). Then fill the test tube with water and place the clipping inside. Within days or weeks (depending on the plant), you'll have a rooted clipping that can be transferred to soil. It is a good idea to wait until the roots are at least a few inches long before transferring.
This propagation station holds up to 6 glass test tubes (included). It will give your plants a good start while keeping your space free of clutter. It is compact, self-contained and makes a beautiful and eye-catching addition to any windowsill or wall shelf. The slim test tubes (included) are the perfect size and shape for small or large cuttings and make it easy to see when your clippings begin to root. It is handmade from solid oak and sealed against water damage with a natural teak oil finish.
