Our Story

Cottonwood Co. was founded in 2015 with a simple idea: to make high-quality home goods and accessories at an affordable price. Like most of you, we were tired of the low-quality, pressboard, mass-produced furniture found in nearly every big-box store today; tired of replacing coffee tables and shelving after just a few years. Solid-wood, hand-crafted furniture and home goods typically cost thousands of dollars and are quite often unaffordable for many of us. We believe that everyone deserves furniture and home goods that they can pass down to their children and grandchildren. We admired the makers of the past who put time and real talent into their work – the loving care that comes from knowing that a bench or coffee table will be used by your children and their children. We have purposefully kept our shop small and our prices low, staying true to our original concept. We have a small handful of skilled craftsmen and sewists who make each piece from beginning to end - no assembly line methods here. In this way, we ensure that each piece fits precisely, wood grain and texture match and time and attention to detail is never sacrificed for industry. Your piece will be a one-of-a-kind creation, crafted entirely by hand, from scratch and while it will wear in, it will not wear out.

At Cottonwood Co. we strive to offer a wide assortment of options, from size to color, while maintaining the strength and utility of a piece that can only be realized through the hands of a furniture maker or carpenter. We put the soul of American, rustic furniture and home decor into every piece we make and make every piece the way they did in the long past. Because we make every piece by hand, we can offer you a piece of furniture or decor that you will be proud to have in your home for decades to come.
